## Turn your brief into a prompt

You now have a creative target. Use it to make one baseline, then judge what you actually hear.

### Core recipe

Create a [VOCAL / INSTRUMENTAL] track for [LISTENING SITUATION]. Genre family: [GENRE]. Feel: [TWO EMOTIONS], moving from [START] to [END]. Groove and energy: [DESCRIPTION]. Main instruments: [TWO OR THREE]. Vocal delivery: [DESCRIPTION OR NONE]. Arrangement: [SIMPLE SECTION ARC]. Prioritize [ONE MAIN QUALITY]. Avoid [TWO CONFLICTS].

### Filled example

Create a vocal track for a late-night walk home. Warm electronic soul; reflective, then quietly hopeful. Unhurried mid-tempo pocket. Soft electric piano, rounded bass and restrained brushed percussion. Close, conversational lead vocal. Start sparse, add harmony in the chorus and return to an exposed final line. Prioritize clear words and a gentle chorus lift. Avoid festival-style drops and dense lead synths.

### Three questions after listening

- Does it fit the listener and setting?
- Can you hear the emotional movement?
- Does it pass your three audible tests?

Write timestamped notes, then change one main variable for the next version.

### Example revision

If the chorus lacks lift: keep the genre, instruments and vocal direction; ask for supporting harmonies and a slightly fuller chorus while the verse stays sparse. Compare at similar volume. A new generation may change more than you requested.

### Keep a tiny record

Version ID / exact prompt / tool and model shown / date / what changed / what you heard / keep, revise or archive. Save your best candidate before trying another.

### Before commercial use

Check the provider's current terms and the exact track's permissions. For Suno, eligible permitted downloads and applicable restrictions matter; paid access alone is not the whole test. Copyright and destination acceptance are separate questions. See [Suno's terms](https://suno.com/terms/).
